There are many types of pipe materials for pipe fittings, including PVC, PE, PP, ABS, CPVC, PVDF, etc.
PVC pipe fittings have good tensile and compressive strength, but they are not as flexible as other plastic pipes and have excellent corrosion resistance. The price is the cheapest among all kinds of plastic pipes, but it is brittle at low temperature. PVC pipe fittings are used for water supply and drainage, irrigation, gas supply, exhaust in residential, industrial, mining, and agricultural fields or as wire conduits, rainwater pipes, and industrial anticorrosion pipes.
CPVC pipe fittings have outstanding heat resistance, heat distortion temperature of 100 ℃, and excellent chemical resistance for hot water pipes.
PE pipe resin is polymerized from monomer ethylene. Due to different polymerization reaction conditions such as pressure and temperature during polymerization, resins with different densities can be obtained, so they are divided into high density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene and low Density polyethylene. Low-density polyethylene has softer properties and lower mechanical strength and melting point; high-density polyethylene has higher density, higher rigidity, and higher mechanical strength and melting point. PE has the characteristics of lightweight, corrosion resistance, non-toxic, easy to bend, convenient construction, etc. It is suitable for industrial and civil houses, used as drinking water pipes, rainwater pipes, gas pipes, industrial corrosion-resistant pipes, transporting liquids, gases, edible media, etc. It can also be used as a medical hose.
PPR fittings are also called three-type polypropylene living water pipes. Polypropylene pipes (PPR) are new life water pipes currently being used in our country. They can be widely used in indoor cold and hot water supply systems and air-conditioning water systems. PPR pipe is made of random copolymer polypropylene material. It has the advantages of lightweight, non-toxic sanitation, good heat resistance, corrosion resistance, good thermal insulation performance and so on.
